Type
Full-time, W2
Compensation
$130k - $165k
Job Description
VectorField is a co-operative, cloud-native digital content creation platform that treats every production task as a data-generating tensor. Our "Bits2Effect" feedback loop turns high-fidelity capture work into both usable assets and structured training data for AI.
You will design, implement, and operate end-to-end capture pipelines that ingest raw sensor data (high-speed multi-camera rigs, LiDAR, depth, hyperspectral, and Gaussian-splat arrays) and output performance-capture digital doubles, physically accurate digital twins, and large-scale environment representations.
Core Responsibilities
- Capture System Engineering: Specify, assemble, and calibrate multi-camera rigs (≥ 12 × 8K @ 120 fps) and synchronized LiDAR/IR sensors
- Optics & Calibration: Perform radiometric, geometric, and chromatic-aberration calibration; generate per-lens distortion models
- Software & Pipeline Development: Extend the Production-Pipeline Engine with new "Capture-Ingest" stages; write Python/FastAPI micro-services for Photogrammetry and Gaussian-Splat reconstruction
- Data Quality & Validation: Define quantitative QA metrics (point-cloud density ≥ 2M points/m², reprojection error ≤ 0.5 px)
- Ledger & Compensation Integration: Record each capture session as a Work-Segment on the Hyperledger ledger
- Security & Ops: Follow IL5/IL6/SECRET AWS GovCloud hardening guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen (required for classified GovCloud work)
- Education: B.S. or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Photogrammetry, or Optical Engineering
- Experience: 5+ years designing high-end capture rigs (film/VR/defense)
- Proven track record with volumetric performance capture (4-D body capture, facial capture)
- Deep familiarity with photogrammetry pipelines (Agisoft Metashape, RealityCapture, COLMAP)
- Hands-on experience building Gaussian-splat or neural-graphics pipelines (PlenOctrees, Instant-NGP)
- Programming: Python (NumPy, OpenCV, PyTorch), TypeScript/Node.js, Go (optional)
- Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC), Terraform/OpenTofu basics
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance within 6 months
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $130k – $165k USD, commensurate with experience and clearance level
- Equity / NNV Participation: Automatic issuance of Novel Net Value tokens for each captured work segment
- Full medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match
- 4 weeks PTO + 10 days paid holidays; flexible remote schedule
- Access to classified environments; all travel covered per DoD policy
We need a senior engineer who can turn raw sensor streams into production-ready volumetric, photogrammetric, and Gaussian-splat assets while logging everything on a blockchain ledger.
